Way back in the fall, when I had just started to use My Father's World curriculum with Diego, I began to search for other bloggers who were using it with their children, but were a few weeks ahead of me. My thought was that maybe they might be able to give me a few pointers and tips along the way as I went along. Lucky me! I found Wendy's blog, Living Creatively and after reading several of her posts, I was hooked!
Not only does Wendy teach her 4 kids at home, spend a great deal of time outside with her kids developing their of love nature, make wonderful food -- including this apple pie, write a hilarious yet spiritually challenging blog, but she also is an artist. I am always inspired to do more art with my kids after reading her blog. I try to do art, but she really does it! Then finally, one day she posted this little man...
and I wanted him. But how do you say, "Give him to me now!" politely? The closest I could come was- "My goodness, I love "wise for his age"- have you considered starting an etsy shop for your art? or do you already have one and I'm just missing it?" Not long after, she reopened her etsy shop-- Nest in the Sun. I jumped up and down for joy! She has some really fun pieces:
But the little guy didn't appear. So, I started watching stalking her shop closely... visiting almost daily for fear someone else might snatch him up! I would worry that someone else had bought him on the days I forgot to check her shop. And I would wonder if perhaps she had decided to keep him for herself... I knew if I were her, I certainly would. Finally, in February she listed him... and now he's mine!
But because Wendy is so super awesome, she sent some extras along so I can share with you! Aren't you excited!?!
Both of these are original pieces created on vintage book pages... so, instead of just one winner, we'll have two! Here are the ways you can enter--
- Follow Little Vintage Me (if you don't already) and leave me a comment saying you do.
- Like Little Vintage Me on Facebook and leave me a comment telling me you've joined my page.
- Visit Wendy's etsy shop, Nest in the Sun, and leave me a comment telling me what you love the best!
- Follow Wendy's blog, Living Creatively, and leave me a comment telling me you follow her.
I'll close the giveaway sometime on Thursday and announce the winners on Friday! There you have it... four ways to win an original piece of incredible art! (Good luck!)
