Have I ever told you that my sister-in-law, Yasmin, and her husband are in the middle of adopting a little boy and girl? No? Well, that's because I'm lame and don't have any wonderful pictures of them. Stinkin' point and shoot. (One of these days, I'm going to buy a real camera... or win one from the Pioneer Woman.) The kids are beautiful anyway.
They are siblings who are living with their biological mom and a step-dad (who doesn't want them)... so, they asked Yasmin if she'd like them. Seriously. Isn't that the craziest thing you've heard in a while? But they couldn't have made a better choice in who to ask. Yasmin is super awesome with kids (an el. ed. teacher) and has been praying for these little ones for years... and now, soon they'll be hers.
The kids got to visit for Christmas and were in shock at the mound of presents to be opened... it was excessive and they just couldn't seem to fathom that some of the presents were for them! Brought tears to my eyes. So sweet.

My little sister (who made this for my daddy's birthday) has recently started blogging after a long hiatus. Of course, her blog is just as awesome as she is. Go check it out.

These pictures reminded me that I still haven't decorated my house for Easter... at all. And we're only about 10 days away! Good grief! (I guess I'll be doing that next.)

Jesse and I are both in the middle of major transitions in our jobs. I feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster and I need to just get off! And remind myself of this post. Funny, God always provides in one way or another but I always seem to worry until I see Him move. Stop worrying. Something else big happens. I worry again. Then He steps in and I stop worrying again.
So, of course the lesson I was scheduled to teach this Wednesday was over this text on flowers and birds.
And I'm learning to do a lot more of: ask. seek. and knock.
I'm slow. Super slow. Why don't I learn the first time around? Why must my kids be like me and not learn the first time, either?

On a side note, did you know that the Wichita Police Department won't help you investigate a hit and run when it involves personal property-- even when you have the tag number and a description of the offender? And a picture? Good thing we have full coverage or our insurance company wouldn't be interested in helping either. So lame.
Have a Fabulous Friday evening, folks!

My mama heart screamed out "WHAT" when I read about the children your sister-in-law is going to adopt. I cannot for one second understand their mother deciding she doesn't want them. So terribly sad!
I want that cake!!
